Lytro camera: click image yaar... i adjust focus later !!!

For those who want to get their hands on a camera that shoots first and focuses later.

While it is revolutionary technology (see the amazing multi-focus examples), and Lytro has done its best to make the device consumer-friendly (with just two buttons and a zoom slider) and eminently social (with one-button sharing to Facebook),

How is works?

there are still plenty of questions to be answered. How will the photos look when consumers, not professional photographers, get their hands on them? How many will they sell? What will the magnetic lens cap look like? Will the company sell a case so you can strap it onto your hand, video-camera style? If not, will that rubberized silicone on the end suffice to keep it from slipping out of your hands? Does the battery really last two weeks? Why have a power button when the shutter button turns the camera on anyway?

This are some examples of images capture by Lytro camera

iPhoneographer : can use this lenses.!!!

photo 12 520x245 If you use your iPhone for photography, you need an Olloclip lens set

Lots of people use the iPhone to take pictures and that’s fine. But for a segment of users, the iPhone has become our only camera.

But sometimes you want just a bit more flexibility and a small accessory can make all the difference. The Olloclip is just such an accessory and if you use your iPhone extensively as a photography tool, you need one of these kits.

The Olloclip is a small clip that attaches to the corner of your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, fitting over the corner where the camera is housed. Embedded in the clip are two lenses, which you access by flipping the clip to the appropriate side.

IMG 53461 520x346 If you use your iPhone for photography, you need an Olloclip lens set

On one side is a macro lens which is part of a two element wide angle and the other side is a fixed fisheye.

So three lenses to shake things up a bit. This is a great set of tools to give your photos a little variation. The fisheye is fantastic for shooting things from a low or high angle and for snapping panoramas in less shots. The wide angle is good for those ‘everybody on the couch, backed up against the wall’ indoor snaps.

The macro ability of the iPhone 4S is pretty stellar on its own and the iPhone 4 wasn’t too shabby either. The macro built in to the Olloclip is simply off the charts. This shot of a crab was taken on the beach and the critter was only the size of a regular American quarter:

Overall there is a bit of comatic aberration with the Fisheye and some chroma issues here and there, but much, much better than I expected, especially in high-contrast situations.

The Olloclip has become your constant companion when you travelling with the iPhone as your camera. It comes with a small soft bag that you tuck your lenses into and offers so much more utility that it is well worth packing along. A couple of ounces for a lot more choices.

I understand the choice to fix the fisheye to the clip, as embedding it is probably easier in the manufacturing process and there is no real reason to remove it as there is not another lens underneath, but I sure would like the option. Having the Olloclip on with just the macro would make it nice and slim. It would also open up a mounting position for my other big wish list item, an optical teleconverter.

Well worth checking out if you’re a frequent iPhoneographer.

The Olloclip is available on the site for a very cheap $69.99.

Smartpen into the 21st Century

I completed my 7th semester. submission today & I found importance of "pen". How can I write up to 250 pages in 40 hours(5 days) without a "pen"(because I use a pen of other not mine). So, let me found what are technical changes done in pen. I found this website/Company. Further read here.

thumb 520x245 Livescribes Echo Smartpen drags the humble pen into the 21st Century

The traditional pen is fast approaching extinction. That said, there’s no reason that the pen can’t be given a hi-tech reboot, and that’s what Livescribe’s Echo Smartpen does.

What does it do?

Width: 19.7 mm (0.78 in.) at top 11.5 mm (0.45 in.) at tip
Weight: 36 grams (1.3 oz.) without cap

A pen with potential

I’ll admit, despite being a tech-savvy person who’s clued up on gadgets, I found the Echo had a steep learning curve for the first half hour. The set-up process is pretty well documented in a quick-start guide but learning to use a pen in a whole new way still took a little getting used to.

This is a use-case that I imagine many potential customers will be looking for, and it’s bundled with the Pro Pack version of the Echo.

In all, the Livescribe Echo Smartpen is a device that brings the traditional pen into the 21st Century. If, despite the prevalence of keyboard inputs and the growth of voice commands, you still feel an attachment to putting your mark on a page in ink, it’s definitely worth a try. A 2GB starter pack costs $99, with prices scaling up to $249.95 for the Pro Pack.

January 24, 1984 : At Apple's annual shareholders meeting, Jobs introduced the Macintosh to a wildly enthusiastic audience

The Macintosh became the first commercially successful small computer.

While Jobs was a persuasive and charismatic director for Apple, some of his employees from that time had described him as an erratic and temperamental manager.

May 1985 : following an internal power struggle and an announcement of significant layoffs because of disappointing sales at the time—Sculley relieved Jobs of his duties as head of the Macintosh division.

Jobs later claimed that being fired from Apple was the best thing that could have happened to him; "The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life."

1985Jobs founded NeXT Computer  with $7 million.

1990 : NeXT workstations were first released, priced at $9,999.

the NeXT workstation was technologically advanced, but was largely dismissed as cost-prohibitive by the educational sector for which it was designed.

This couple have a son and
two daughters.

1986 : Jobs bought The Graphics Group from Lucasfilm's computer graphics division for the price of $10 million.
After years of unprofitability selling the Pixar Image Computer, it contracted with Disney to produce a number of computer-animated feature films, which Disney would co-finance and distribute.

1995 : Toy Story
A Bug's Life (1998); Toy Story 2(1999); Monsters, Inc. (2001); Finding Nemo (2003); The Incredibles (2004); Cars (2006); Ratatouille (2007); WALL-E (2008);

January 24, 2006 : Jobs and Iger(Disney) announced that Disney had agreed to purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. Jobs became The Walt Disney Company's largest single shareholder with  approximately 7% of the company's stock.

1997 : Macworld Expo, Steve Jobs announced that Apple would be entering into partnership with Microsoft. Included in this was a five-year commitment from Microsoft to release Microsoft Office for Macintosh as well a US$150 million investment in Apple. It was also announced that Internet Explorer would be shipped as the default browser on the Macintosh.
Steve Jobs said this to the audience at the expo:
If we want to move forward and see Apple healthy and prospering again, we have to let go of a few things here. We have to let go of this notion that for Apple to win, Microsoft has to lose. We have to embrace a notion that for Apple to win, Apple has to do a really good job. And if others are going to help us that's great, because we need all the help we can get, and if we screw up and we don't do a good job, it's not somebody else's fault, it's our fault. So I think that is a very important perspective. If we want Microsoft Office on the Mac, we better treat the company that puts it out with a little bit of gratitude; we like their software.
So, the era of setting this up as a competition between Apple and Microsoft is over as far as I'm concerned. This is about getting Apple healthy, this is about Apple being able to make incredibly great contributions to the industry and to get healthy and prosper again.

October 2001 :  Apple introduced its first iPod portable digital audio player.

The iPod started as a 5 gigabyte player capable of storing around 1000 songs. Since then it has evolved into an array of products.
including the Mini (now discontinued), the iPod Touch, the Shuffle, the iPod Classic, the Nano, and the iPhone. The largest storage capacity for an iPod was 160 gigabytes now.

Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.

After giving this kind of service to mankind. This is Good Peace. Hunger now fulfill.
